Woodhouse Spa Odessa is the city's first upscale day spa, located in downtown Odessa a few steps away from the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Guests are welcomed into the Quiet Room with champagne, wine, or herbal tea before their treatments begin.
Position Summary
You are the first and last impression guests have of the spa. You set the tone for "The Woodhouse Way" from the moment the guests walk in.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, check them in, and guide them to the Quiet Room, locker rooms, and amenities
- Offer beverages and personal touches, like remembering a guest's favorite drink, birthdays, and anniversaries
- Answer phones, book and modify appointments, and recommend services, packages, and enhancements
- Process payments, retail, gift cards, and memberships in the POS system
- Coordinate with massage therapists and estheticians to keep the schedule on time
- Confirm appointments, manage waitlists, and follow up on cancellations
- Handle guest concerns with empathy and escalate when needed
- Keep reception, retail displays, and refreshment stations tidy and stocked
- Support opening and closing, including cash handling and end-of-day reports
- Back up the leadership team so daily operations run smoothly
Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer service experience (spa, hospitality, or retail preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfort with booking/POS software, or willingness to learn
- Polished appearance and a calm, welcoming presence
- Strong multitasking and organization
- Reliable, punctual, and available for flexible shifts
