This isn't a front desk job. It's a hospitality and sales career.

At Woodhouse Day Spa, we don't process appointments. We create experiences. When a guest walks through our doors, they're escaping their busy life for a few hours of genuine luxury: a comfy robe, reflexology sandals, a quiet relaxation room, hot cinnamon tea, and a warm neck wrap before their service even begins.

We're a destination spa experience that happens to be in your neighborhood. And we need people who understand the difference.

About This Role

As a Spa Coordinator/Key Holder, you're the first and last impression of our spa. You open and close the building, welcome guests into our world, help them choose the right services, and ensure they leave already thinking about their next visit. When something goes sideways, you handle it. When the team needs direction, you provide it.

This is a leadership position. You'll mentor newer team members, make decisions when managers aren't on-site, and take ownership of the guest experience from parking lot to checkout.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Open and close the spa, ensuring everything is perfect for guests and the next shift
  • Welcome guests warmly and guide them through our signature experience (robes, sandals, relaxation room, tea)
  • Book appointments, recommend services, and help guests find exactly what they need
  • Suggest enhancements and retail products that genuinely improve the guest experience
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints with grace, turning problems into loyalty
  • Support and guide newer front desk team members during your shifts
  • Keep the front of house running smoothly when management isn't on-site
Compensation & Benefits

  • $20-22/hour based on experience
  • 5% commission on retail sales when you hit your targets
  • $5 bonus per enhancement sold (once you hit 10 per month)
  • Complimentary spa services
  • Product discounts
  • Paid training
  • Clear path to management for high performers
You're a Great Fit If...

  • You genuinely enjoy making people feel special and taken care of
  • You see sales as helping people find what they need, not pushing products
  • You take ownership and solve problems without waiting to be told what to do
  • You're comfortable leading a shift and supporting less experienced team members
  • Details matter to you, and you follow through on the little things
  • You've worked in hospitality, retail, or customer service and want something better
You Might Not Be a Good Fit If:

  • You think recommending products or services is "pushy"
  • You prefer working alone without constant guest interaction
  • You can't work weekends or occasional holidays
  • Following scripts and protocols feels restrictive to you
  • You're looking for a quiet desk job where you can zone out
Requirements

  • 2+ years in hospitality, retail, or customer service
  • Previous key holder, shift lead, or opening/closing experience
  • Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and handling payments
  • Available for full-time hours including weekends
  • Reliable transportation to our location
Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience in spa, salon, or wellness industry
  • Knowledge of skincare products and services
  • Experience training or mentoring others
How to Apply

Submit your resume to careers.woodhouseindy@gmail.com and a brief cover letter that tells us:

  • A time you turned a frustrated customer into a loyal one. What happened and what did you do?
  • Why hospitality, not just any job? What draws you to this work?
  • Which location(s) work for you and your availability for opening/closing shifts.

U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Information (Completion is voluntary)

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

You are being given the opportunity to provide the following information in order to help us comply with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action record keeping, reporting, and other legal requirements.

Completion of the form is entirely voluntary. Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 4/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.
