Pay
Pay is hourly, additional flat rate, commission, PLUS tips. Pay is negotiable and is based on experience and performance.
Purpose
The Massage Therapist is responsible for performing massage therapy, body treatments, and East-Meets-West treatments to guests according to the treatment protocols provided. The Massage Therapist is responsible for ensuring the guest’s comfort and relaxation during each service by offering amenities, such as water, hot tea, or a mimosa. The Massage Therapist is responsible for obtaining the education and licensure required to perform these services. The Massage Therapist is also responsible for educating the guest on the benefits of the services and products offered by the spa. The Massage Therapist will work closely with the Spa Coordinator and Spa Concierge to ensure that each guest is on schedule for their treatment(s). The Massage Therapist is responsible for conforming to THE WOODHOUSE standards set forth in the Team Member Handbook and Operations Manual and will strive each day to exceed our guest’s expectations.
Responsibilities
· Performing an outstanding service to each guest
· Welcoming each guest and introducing yourself
· Preparing the guest for services according to the treatment protocols
· Offering the guest beverages and other amenities available
· Reviewing the guest’s chart for any valuable information
· Perform up to a combination of 5-7 different massages/body wraps per day.
· Educating the guest to the benefits of the service performed
· Educating the guest on the products used during the service
· Retailing home care products and explaining how to use them properly
· Referring the guest to other WOODHOUSE services offered
· Sanitizing the room according to the Sanitation Policy
· Documenting pertinent guest information into their records
· Maintain organization of the treatment rooms, preparation areas and changing lounges
· Escorts guests to dressing room, service areas, etc., when needed
· Ensure laundry services are completed daily
· Obtaining continuous education
· Renewal of licensure as required by the state
· Abide by all protocols as set forth by THE WOODHOUSE SPAS CORPORATION
· Ensuring proper lighting, music, cleanliness, and aromatherapy as set forth in the Ambiance Standards
· Protect THE WOODHOUSE brand
Organizational Relationships
The Massage Therapist reports directly to their department supervisor if applicable, then General Manager.
